About me

Hello! I'm Olev, a volunteer at the Tartu Homeless Animal Shelter and a passionate entrepreneur.

I started volunteering at the shelter in February 2024 and it quickly became a big and integral part of my life. I mainly work with dogs, but I also help in other ways if necessary. I usually visit the shelter 4-6 times a week and spend about 2-4 hours a day there.

I have been involved in e-commerce for 5 years now, and Sabaga is a hybrid of these two worlds. I have long wanted to do a project that has a bigger purpose and a charitable side to it. However, the e-commerce part is small here, and I carefully select only a handful of premium products made exclusively in the EU, which I dare to use myself. Currently, work is underway to create our own Sabaga brand products! Exciting and difficult at the same time.

Obviously, I don't live without animals myself. My home is ruled, perhaps a little surprisingly, by my house rabbits Jasper and Mimi. Both are from Tallinn Shelter. I have also taken it upon myself to improve the living conditions of rabbits in Estonia, as they are probably the number 1 misunderstood and mistreated domestic animal species. Jasper has been with me since 2016, both of my rabbits live a 24/7 cage-free life. Whenever possible, I stick my nose into other people's affairs to share advice and information. Quite annoying (for others), isn't it? 🫠
